The triliteral root khā dhāl lām (خ ذ ل) occurs three times in the Quran, in three derived forms:

Adjective

(25:29:11) khadhūlana deserterوَكَانَ الشَّيْطَانُ لِلْإِنْسَانِ خَذُولًا

Passive participle

(17:22:9) makhdhūlanforsakenلَا تَجْعَلْ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا آخَرَ فَتَقْعُدَ مَذْمُومًا مَخْذُولًا
