نَحْنُ نَقُصُّ عَلَيْكَ أَحْسَنَ ٱلْقَصَصِ بِمَآ أَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَيْكَ هَـٰذَا ٱلْقُرْءَانَ وَإِن كُنتَ مِن قَبْلِهِۦ لَمِنَ ٱلْغَـٰفِلِينَ ﴿سورة يوسف آية ٣﴾.

[12:3] Basmeih

Kami ceritakan kepadamu (wahai Muhammad) seindah-indah kisah dengan jalan Kami wahyukan kepadamu Al-Quran ini, padahal sebenarnya engkau sebelum datangnya wahyu itu, adalah dari orang-orang yang tidak pernah menyedari akan halnya.

[12:3] Tafsir Jalalayn

(Kami menceritakan kepadamu kisah yang paling baik dengan mewahyukan) melalui apa yang Kami wahyukan (Alquran ini kepadamu dan sesungguhnya) lafal in merupakan takhfif daripada lafal inna (kamu sebelumnya adalah termasuk orang-orang yang belum mengetahui).

[12:3] Quraish Shihab

Kami menyampaikan kepadamu, Muhammad, kisah yang paling baik dengan cara mewahyukan kitab suci al-Qur'ân ini kepadamu. Sebelum menerima wahyu itu kamu termasuk orang-orang yang belum mengetahui isinya dan yang mengandung nasihat-nasihat dan ayat-ayat yang jelas.

[12:3] Bahasa Indonesia

Kami menceritakan kepadamu kisah yang paling baik dengan mewahyukan Al Quran ini kepadamu, dan sesungguhnya kamu sebelum (Kami mewahyukan)nya adalah termasuk orang-orang yang belum mengetahui.

Sahih International: We relate to you, [O Muhammad], the best of stories in what We have revealed to you of this Qur'an although you were, before it, among the unaware.

Pickthall: We narrate unto thee (Muhammad) the best of narratives in that We have inspired in thee this Qur'an, though aforetime thou wast of the heedless.

Yusuf Ali: We do relate unto thee the most beautiful of stories, in that We reveal to thee this (portion of the) Qur'an: before this, thou too was among those who knew it not.

Shakir: We narrate to you the best of narratives, by Our revealing to you this Quran, though before this you were certainly one of those who did not know.

Muhammad Sarwar: In revealing this Quran to you, We tell you the best of the stories of which you were unaware.

Mohsin Khan: We relate unto you (Muhammad SAW) the best of stories through Our Revelations unto you, of this Quran. And before this (i.e. before the coming of Divine Inspiration to you), you were among those who knew nothing about it (the Quran).

Arberry: We will relate to thee the fairest of stories in that We have revealed to thee this Koran, though before it thou wast one of the heedless.
