Chapter (6) sūrat l-anʿām (The Cattle)
Sahih International: And when you see those who engage in [offensive] discourse concerning Our verses, then turn away from them until they enter into another conversion. And if Satan should cause you to forget, then do not remain after the reminder with the wrongdoing people.
Pickthall: And when thou seest those who meddle with Our revelations, withdraw from them until they meddle with another topic. And if the devil cause thee to forget, sit not, after the remembrance, with the congregation of wrong-doers.
Yusuf Ali: When thou seest men engaged in vain discourse about Our signs, turn away from them unless they turn to a different theme. If Satan ever makes thee forget, then after recollection, sit not thou in the company of those who do wrong.
Shakir: And when you see those who enter into false discourses about Our communications, withdraw from them until they enter into some other discourse, and if the Shaitan causes you to forget, then do not sit after recollection with the unjust people.
Muhammad Sarwar: When you see people mocking Our revelations, turn away from them so that they may change the subject. If Satan causes you to forget this, do not sit with the unjust people when you remember.
Mohsin Khan: And when you (Muhammad SAW) see those who engage in a false conversation about Our Verses (of the Quran) by mocking at them, stay away from them till they turn to another topic. And if Shaitan (Satan) causes you to forget, then after the remembrance sit not you in the company of those people who are the Zalimun (polytheists and wrongdoers, etc.).
Arberry: When thou seest those who plunge into Our signs, turn away from them until they plunge into some other talk; or if Satan should make thee forget, do not sit, after the reminding, with the people of the evildoers.
Dan apabila engkau melihat orang-orang yang memperkatakan dengan cara mencaci atau mengejek-ejek ayat-ayat Kami, maka tinggalkanlah mereka sehingga mereka memperkatakan soal yang lain; dan jika engkau dilupakan oleh Syaitan (lalu engkau duduk bersama mereka), maka janganlah engkau duduk lagi bersama-sama kaum yang zalim itu, sesudah engkau mengingati (akan larangan itu).
[6:68] Tafsir Jalalayn
(Dan apabila melihat orang-orang memperolok-olokkan ayat-ayat Kami) yakni Alquran dengan cemoohan (maka tinggalkanlah mereka) janganlah kamu bergaul dengan mereka (sehingga mereka membicarakan pembicaraan yang lain. Dan jika) Lafal immaa berasal dari in syarthiah yang diidghamkan ke dalam maa zaidah (menjadikan kamu lupa) dengan dibaca yunsiyannaka atau yunassiyannaka (godaan setan) kemudian engkau duduk bersama mereka (maka janganlah kamu duduk sesudah teringat) artinya sesudah engkau teringat akan larangan itu (bersama orang-orang yang lalim itu) ungkapan ini mengandung peletakan isim zahir pada posisi isim mudhmar. Dan orang-orang muslim mengatakan, "Jika kami berdiri sewaktu mereka mulai memperolok-olokkan ayat-ayat Allah, maka kami tidak bisa lagi duduk di mesjid dan melakukan tawaf di dalamnya," lalu turunlah ayat berikut ini:

Apabila engkau mendatangi perkumpulan orang-orang kafir, kemudian mendapati mereka menghujat atau menghina al-Qur'ân, pergilah dari situ sampai mereka beralih kepada pembicaraan lain! Apabila kamu lupa, lalu menemani mereka dalam membicarakan hal-hal yang batil, kemudian kamu ingat bahwa hal itu dilarang, janganlah kamu duduk bersama mereka lagi.

Dan apabila kamu melihat orang-orang memperolok-olokkan ayat-ayat Kami, maka tinggalkanlah mereka sehingga mereka membicarakan pembicaraan yang lain. Dan jika syaitan menjadikan kamu lupa (akan larangan ini), maka janganlah kamu duduk bersama orang-orang yang zalim itu sesudah teringat (akan larangan itu).
