Chapter (23) sūrat l-mu'minūn (The Believers)

Sahih International: And, [O Muhammad], say, "My Lord, forgive and have mercy, and You are the best of the merciful."

Pickthall: And (O Muhammad) say: My Lord! Forgive and have mercy, for Thou art Best of all who show mercy.

Yusuf Ali: So say: "O my Lord! grant Thou forgiveness and mercy for Thou art the Best of those who show mercy!"

Shakir: And say: O my Lord! forgive and have mercy, and Thou art the best of the Merciful ones.

Muhammad Sarwar: (Muhammad), say, "Lord, forgive me and grant me mercy; You are the best of the Merciful Ones.

Mohsin Khan: And say (O Muhammad SAW): "My Lord! Forgive and have mercy, for You are the Best of those who show mercy!"

Arberry: And say: 'My Lord, forgive and have mercy, for Thou art the best of the merciful.'

(Dan katakanlah! "Ya Rabbku! Berilah ampun dan berilah rahmat) kepada orang-orang Mukmin dalam bentuk rahmat di samping ampunan itu (dan Engkau adalah pemberi rahmat yang paling baik") artinya Pemberi rahmat yang paling utama.

Katakan, wahai Rasulullah, sambil berdoa dan pasrah kepada Tuhanmu, "Ya Tuhanku, ampunilah dosaku dan karuniakanlah aku kasih sayang-Mu, karena Engkaulah yang terbaik di antara pemberi kasih sayang. Sebab kasih sayang-Mu amat luas dan amat dekat dengan orang-orang yang berbuat baik."
