Verse (14:30) - English Translation

Chapter (14) sūrat ib'rāhīm (Abraham)

Sahih International: And they have attributed to Allah equals to mislead [people] from His way. Say, "Enjoy yourselves, for indeed, your destination is the Fire."

Pickthall: And they set up rivals to Allah that they may mislead (men) from His way. Say: Enjoy life (while ye may) for lo! your journey's end will be the Fire.

Yusuf Ali: And they set up (idols) as equal to Allah, to mislead (men) from the Path! Say: "Enjoy (your brief power)! But verily ye are making straightway for Hell!"

Shakir: And they set up equals with Allah that they may lead (people) astray from His path. Say: Enjoy yourselves, for surely your return is to the fire.

Muhammad Sarwar: To lead people astray, they claimed their idols were equal to God. (Muhammad), tell them, "Enjoy yourselves and know that the only place for you to go will be hell fire."

Mohsin Khan: And they set up rivals to Allah, to mislead (men) from His Path! Say: "Enjoy (your brief life)! But certainly, your destination is the (Hell) Fire!"

Arberry: And they set up compeers to God, that they might lead astray from His way. Say: 'Take your joy! Your homecoming shall be -- the Fire!'

Dan mereka mengadakan sekutu-sekutu bagi Allah untuk menyesatkan manusia dari jalanNya. Katakanlah (wahai Muhammad): "Bersenang-senanglah kamu (bagi sementara di dunia), kerana sesungguhnya kesudahan kamu ke neraka".
[14:30] Tafsir Jalalayn
(Orang-orang yang kafir itu telah menjadikan sekutu-sekutu bagi Allah) tandingan-tandingan (supaya mereka menyesatkan manusia) dapat dibaca liyudhilluu dan liyadhilluu (dari jalan-Nya) yaitu agama Islam. (Katakanlah) kepada mereka ("Bersenang-senanglah kalian) dengan keduniaan kalian dalam waktu yang sedikit (karena sesungguhnya tempat kembali kalian) yaitu tempat menetap kalian (ialah neraka.")

Orang-orang musyrik itu juga membuat patung-patung sebagai sekutu Allah, satu-satunya Tuhan yang pantas disembah, sehingga perbuatan mereka itu mengakibatkan sesatnya manusia dari jalan Allah. Katakan, hai Muhammad, kepada orang-orang yang sesat itu, "Bersenang-senanglah dengan keinginan hawa nafsu kalian! Tetapi tempat kembali kalian nanti adalah neraka."
