فَمَآ ءَامَنَ لِمُوسَىٰٓ إِلَّا ذُرِّيَّةٌ مِّن قَوْمِهِۦ عَلَىٰ خَوْفٍ مِّن فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَإِي۟هِمْ أَن يَفْتِنَهُمْۚ وَإِنَّ فِرْعَوْنَ لَعَالٍ فِي ٱلْأَرْضِ وَإِنَّهُۥ لَمِنَ ٱلْمُسْرِفِينَ ﴿سورة يونس آية ٨٣﴾.

dalam Surah Yunus Ayat 83 Allah Taala berfirman فَمَآ ءَامَنَ لِمُوسَىٰٓ إِلَّا ذُرِّيَّةٌ مِّن قَوْمِهِۦ عَلَىٰ خَوْفٍ مِّن فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَإِي۟هِمْ أَن يَفْتِنَهُمْۚ وَإِنَّ فِرْعَوْنَ لَعَالٍ فِي ٱلْأَرْضِ وَإِنَّهُۥ لَمِنَ ٱلْمُسْرِفِينَ yang bermaksud [10:83] Basmeih Maka tidaklah ada yang beriman kepada Nabi Musa melainkan sebilangan kecil dari keturunan kaumnya, itupun dengan keadaan takut kepada Firaun dan ketua-ketua kaum mereka menyeksa mereka; kerana sesungguhnya Firaun bermaharajalela di bumi, dan sebenarnya ia dari orang-orang yang melampaui batas.

Chapter (10) sūrat yūnus (Jonah)

Sahih International: But no one believed Moses, except [some] youths among his people, for fear of Pharaoh and his establishment that they would persecute them. And indeed, Pharaoh was haughty within the land, and indeed, he was of the transgressors

Pickthall: But none trusted Moses, save some scions of his people, (and they were) in fear of Pharaoh and their chiefs, that he would persecute them. Lo! Pharaoh was verily a tyrant in the land, and lo! he verily was of the wanton.

Yusuf Ali: But none believed in Moses except some children of his people, because of the fear of Pharaoh and his chiefs, lest they should persecute them; and certainly Pharaoh was mighty on the earth and one who transgressed all bounds.

Shakir: But none believed in Musa except the offspring of his people, on account of the fear of Firon and their chiefs, lest he should persecute them; and most surely Firon was lofty in the land; and most surely he was of the extravagant.

Muhammad Sarwar: No one believed in Moses except some young people of his own tribe who were at the same time very afraid of the persecution of the Pharaoh and his people. The Pharaoh was certainly a tyrant and a transgressor.

Mohsin Khan: But none believed in Musa (Moses) except the offspring of his people, because of the fear of Fir'aun (Pharaoh) and his chiefs, lest they should persecute them; and verily, Fir'aun (Pharaoh) was arrogant tyrant on the earth, he was indeed one of the Musrifun (polytheists, sinners and transgressors, those who give up the truth and follow the evil, and commit all kinds of great sins).

Arberry: So none believed in Moses, save a seed of his people, for fear of Pharaoh and their Council, that they would persecute them; and Pharaoh was high in the land, and he was one of the prodigals.

(Maka tidak ada yang beriman kepada Musa melainkan pemuda-pemuda) segolongan orang (dari) anak-anak (kaumnya) kaumnya Firaun (dalam keadaan takut bahwa Firaun dan pemuka-pemuka kaumnya akan menyiksa mereka.) dalam upayanya untuk memalingkan mereka dari agama Nabi Musa melalui siksaan (Sesungguhnya Firaun itu berbuat sewenang-wenang) berlaku sombong (di muka bumi.) negeri Mesir (Dan sesungguhnya dia termasuk orang-orang yang melampaui batas) dia sudah sangat keterlaluan karena mengaku menjadi tuhan.

Meskipun bukti-bukti yang membenarkan risalah telah diperlihatkan, tetapi yang mempercayai Mûsâ hanyalah segelintir dari kaum Fir'aun. Itu pun dengan perasaan cemas bila Fir'aun dan pengikutnya akan memaksa mereka untuk melepaskan keimanan yang ada. Betapa kejamnya tindakan Fir'aun di tanah Mesir. Sesungguhnya ia termasuk orang-orang yang melampaui batas dan merasa sangat hebat dan adidaya.

[10:83] Bahasa Indonesia

Maka tidak ada yang beriman kepada Musa, melainkan pemuda-pemuda dari kaumnya (Musa) dalam keadaan takut bahwa Fir'aun dan pemuka-pemuka kaumnya akan menyiksa mereka. Sesungguhnya Fir'aun itu berbuat sewenang-wenang di muka bumi. Dan sesungguhnya dia termasuk orang-orang yang melampaui batas.
