The triliteral root mīm yā lām (م ي ل) occurs six times in the Quran, in three derived forms:
- three times as the form I verb yamīlu (يَمِيلُ)
- twice as the noun mayl (مَيْل)
- once as the noun maylat (مَّيْلَة)
