أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ لَهُمْ جَنَّـٰتُ عَدْنٍ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهِمُ ٱلْأَنْهَـٰرُ يُحَلَّوْنَ فِيهَا مِنْ أَسَاوِرَ مِن ذَهَبٍ وَيَلْبَسُونَ ثِيَابًا خُضْرًا مِّن سُندُسٍ وَإِسْتَبْرَقٍ مُّتَّكِـِٔينَ فِيهَا عَلَى ٱلۡأَرَآئِكِۚ نِعْمَ ٱلثَّوَابُ وَحَسُنَتْ مُرْتَفَقًا ﴿سورة الكهف آية ٣١﴾.

Verse (18:31) - English Translation

Chapter (18) sūrat l-kahf (The Cave)

Sahih International: Those will have gardens of perpetual residence; beneath them rivers will flow. They will be adorned therein with bracelets of gold and will wear green garments of fine silk and brocade, reclining therein on adorned couches. Excellent is the reward, and good is the resting place.

Pickthall: As for such, theirs will be Gardens of Eden, wherein rivers flow beneath them; therein they will be given armlets of gold and will wear green robes of finest silk and gold embroidery, reclining upon throne therein. Blest the reward, and fair the resting-place!

Yusuf Ali: For them will be Gardens of Eternity; beneath them rivers will flow; they will be adorned therein with bracelets of gold, and they will wear green garments of fine silk and heavy brocade: They will recline therein on raised thrones. How good the recompense! How beautiful a couch to recline on!

Shakir: These it is for whom are gardens of perpetuity beneath which rivers flow, ornaments shall be given to them therein of bracelets of gold, and they shall wear green robes of fine silk and thick silk brocade interwoven with gold, reclining therein on raised couches; excellent the recompense and goodly the resting place.

Muhammad Sarwar: They will be admitted to the gardens of Eden wherein streams flow. They will rest on soft couches, decked with bracelets of gold and clothed in green silk garments and shining brocade. How blissful is such a reward and resting place!

Mohsin Khan: These! For them will be 'Adn (Eden) Paradise (everlasting Gardens); wherein rivers flow underneath them, therein they will be adorned with bracelets of gold, and they will wear green garments of fine and thick silk. They will recline therein on raised thrones. How good is the reward, and what an excellent Murtafaqa (dwelling, resting place, etc.)!

Arberry: those -- theirs shall be Gardens of Eden, underneath which rivers flow; therein they shall be adorned with bracelets of gold, and they shall be robed in green garments of silk and brocade, therein reclining upon couches -- O, how excellent a reward! And O, how fair a resting-place!

Mereka itu, disediakan baginya syurga yang kekal, yang mengalir di bawahnya beberapa sungai; mereka dihiaskan di dalamnya dengan gelang-gelang tangan emas, dan memakai pakaian hijau dari sutera yang nipis dan sutera tebal yang bersulam; mereka berehat di dalamnya dengan berbaring di atas pelamin-pelamin (yang berhias). Demikian itulah balasan yang sebaik-baiknya dan demikian itulah Syurga tempat berehat yang semolek-moleknya.

[18:31] Tafsir Jalalayn

(Mereka itulah orang-orang yang bagi mereka surga Adn) sebagai tempat tinggal mereka (mengalir sungai-sungai di bawahnya. Dalam surga itu mereka dihiasi dengan gelang) menurut suatu pendapat disebutkan, bahwa huruf Min di sini adalah Zaidah dan menurut pendapat yang lain dikatakan pula bahwa itu mengandung makna Tab'idh atau sebagian. Lafal Asaawira adalah bentuk jamak dari lafal Aswiratun yang wazannya sama dengan lafal Ahmiratun, dan lafal Aswiratun ini pun adalah bentuk jamak dari kata tunggal Siwaarun (emas dan mereka memakai pakaian hijau dari sutra halus) sutra yang paling halus (dan sutra tebal) sutra yang paling tebal. Di dalam surah Ar-Rahman disebutkan, "Yang sebelah dalamnya dari sutra yang tebal." (Q.S. Ar-Rahman 54). (Sedangkan mereka duduk sambil bersandar di atas dipan-dipan) lafal Araaiki adalah bentuk jamak dari kata Ariikah, yaitu pelaminan yang dihiasi dengan berbagai macam pakaian dan kelambu buat pengantin. (Itulah sebaik-baik pahala) yaitu surga (dan tempat istirahat yang paling indah).

Mereka adalah golongan yang akan mendapatkan surga sebagai tempat bersenang-senang yang abadi. Di bawah surga itu mengalir sungai-sungai di antara pepohonan dan istana-istana. Mereka mengenakan simbol-simbol kesenangan bagai di dunia seperti gelang yang terbuat dari emas. Busana mereka terbuat dari bahan sutera hijau dalam beragam corak. Mereka duduk sambil bersandar di atas dipan-dipan yang berbantal dan bertirai indah. Alangkah baik balasan mereka. Sungguh, surga adalah tempat tinggal dan tempat peristirahatan yang baik. Di dalam surga itu, mereka akan mendapatkan segala yang mereka inginkan.

Mereka itulah (orang-orang yang) bagi mereka surga 'Adn, mengalir sungai-sungai di bawahnya; dalam surga itu mereka dihiasi dengan gelang mas dan mereka memakai pakaian hijau dari sutera halus dan sutera tebal, sedang mereka duduk sambil bersandar di atas dipan-dipan yang indah. Itulah pahala yang sebaik-baiknya, dan tempat istirahat yang indah;
