وَلَوْ تَرَىٰٓ إِذْ وُقِفُوا۟ عَلَى ٱلنَّارِ فَقَالُوا۟ يَـٰلَيْتَنَا نُرَدُّ وَلَا نُكَذِّبَ بِـَٔايَـٰتِ رَبِّنَا وَنَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ﴿سورة الأنعام آية ٢٧﴾.

[6:27] Basmeih

Dan sungguh ngeri jika engkau melihat ketika mereka didirikan di tepi neraka (untuk menyaksikan azabnya yang tidak terperi), lalu mereka berkata: "Wahai kiranya kami dikembalikan ke dunia, dan kami tidak akan mendustakan lagi ayat-ayat keterangan Tuhan kami, dan menjadilah kami dari golongan yang beriman".

[6:27] Tafsir Jalalayn

(Dan jika kamu melihat) hai Muhammad (ketika mereka dihadapkan) dikemukakan (ke neraka lalu mereka berkata, "Hai kiranya) ungkapan penyesalan (kami dikembalikan) ke dunia (dan tidak mendustakan ayat-ayat Tuhan kami serta menjadi orang-orang yang beriman.") kalau dibaca rafa' kedua fi'ilnya menjadi jumlah istinaf atau kalimat permulaan, jika dibaca nashab keduanya menjadi jawab dari tamanniy, demikian pula bila dibaca rafa' fi'ilnya yang pertama serta dibaca nashab fi'ilnya yang kedua. Sedang jawab dari lau/seandainya ialah: tentu kamu melihat suatu peristiwa yang besar.

[6:27] Quraish Shihab

Jika kamu, Muhammad, melihat orang-orang kafir itu saat berdiri di ambang neraka, dan mereka mulai merasakan kepedihan-kepedihannya, pasti kamu akan melihat hal yang aneh dan hebat. Karena mereka berangan-angan untuk kembali ke dunia dan mengatakan, "Andai kata kami dikembalikan ke dunia untuk memperbaiki kesalahan-kesalahan yang pernah kami perbuat, tidak membohongi ayat-ayat Allah dan menjadi orang-orang Mukmin."

[6:27] Bahasa Indonesia

Dan jika kamu (Muhammad) melihat ketika mereka dihadapkan ke neraka, lalu mereka berkata: "Kiranya kami dikembalikan (ke dunia) dan tidak mendustakan ayat-ayat Tuhan kami, serta menjadi orang-orang yang beriman", (tentulah kamu melihat suatu peristiwa yang mengharukan).

Sahih International: If you could but see when they are made to stand before the Fire and will say, "Oh, would that we could be returned [to life on earth] and not deny the signs of our Lord and be among the believers."

Pickthall: If thou couldst see when they are set before the Fire and say: Oh, would that we might return! Then would we not deny the revelations of our Lord but we would be of the believers!

Yusuf Ali: If thou couldst but see when they are confronted with the Fire! They will say: "Would that we were but sent back! Then would we not reject the signs of our Lord, but would be amongst those who believe!"

Shakir: And could you see when they are made to stand before the fire, then they shall say: Would that we were sent back, and we would not reject the communications of our Lord and we would be of the believers.

Muhammad Sarwar: If only you could see them standing in the fire saying, "Would that we could return to the worldly life. We would never reject any of our Lord's revelations and we would be true believers."

Mohsin Khan: If you could but see when they will be held over the (Hell) Fire! They will say: "Would that we were but sent back (to the world)! Then we would not deny the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, revelations, etc.) of our Lord, and we would be of the believers!"

Arberry: If thou couldst see when they are stationed before the Fire, and they say, 'Would that we might be returned, and then not cry lies to the signs of our Lord, but that we might be among the believers!'
