إِنَّمَا ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ ٱلَّذِينَ إِذَا ذُكِرَ ٱللَّهُ وَجِلَتْ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَإِذَا تُلِيَتْ عَلَيْهِمْ ءَايَـٰتُهُۥ زَادَتْهُمْ إِيمَـٰنًا وَعَلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ يَتَوَكَّلُونَ ﴿سورة الأنفال آية ٢﴾.

[8:2] Basmeih

Sesungguhnya orang-orang yang beriman itu (yang sempurna imannya) ialah mereka yang apabila disebut nama Allah (dan sifat-sifatNya) gementarlah hati mereka; dan apabila dibacakan kepada mereka ayat-ayatNya, menjadikan mereka bertambah iman, dan kepada Tuhan mereka jualah mereka berserah.

[8:2] Tafsir Jalalayn

(Sesungguhnya orang-orang yang beriman itu) yang sempurna keimanannya (adalah mereka yang apabila disebut Allah) yakni ancaman-Nya (gemetarlah) karena takut (hati mereka dan apabila dibacakan kepada mereka ayat-ayat-Nya bertambahlah keimanan mereka) kepercayaan mereka (dan kepada Tuhanlah mereka bertawakal) hanya kepada Rabblah mereka percaya bukan kepada selain-Nya.

[8:2] Quraish Shihab

Sesungguhnya hati orang-orang yang benar-benar beriman selalu dipenuhi rasa takut dan tunduk kepada Allah. Apabila disebut asma Allah hati mereka bergetar dan diliputi rasa takut (haybah). Semakin mereka mendengar ayat-ayat al-Qur'ân dibacakan, semakin kokoh keimanan mereka dan semakin mendalam rasa tunduk serta semakin bertambah pengetahuan mereka pada Allah. Sehingga, pada akhirnya, mereka tidak menyandarkan diri selain kepada Allah yang menciptakan, melindungi, dan memelihara mereka.

[8:2] Bahasa Indonesia

Sesungguhnya orang-orang yang beriman ialah mereka yang bila disebut nama Allah gemetarlah hati mereka, dan apabila dibacakan ayat-ayat-Nya bertambahlah iman mereka (karenanya), dan hanya kepada Tuhanlah mereka bertawakkal.

Sahih International: The believers are only those who, when Allah is mentioned, their hearts become fearful, and when His verses are recited to them, it increases them in faith; and upon their Lord they rely -

Pickthall: They only are the (true) believers whose hearts feel fear when Allah is mentioned, and when His revelations are recited unto them they increase their faith, and who trust in their Lord;

Yusuf Ali: For, Believers are those who, when Allah is mentioned, feel a tremor in their hearts, and when they hear His signs rehearsed, find their faith strengthened, and put (all) their trust in their Lord;

Shakir: Those only are believers whose hearts become full of fear when Allah is mentioned, and when His communications are recited to them they increase them in faith, and in their Lord do they trust.

Muhammad Sarwar: When God is mentioned, the true believers begin to feel fear of Him in their hearts and when His revelations are recited to them their faith strengthens. In God alone do they trust.

Mohsin Khan: The believers are only those who, when Allah is mentioned, feel a fear in their hearts and when His Verses (this Quran) are recited unto them, they (i.e. the Verses) increase their Faith; and they put their trust in their Lord (Alone);

Arberry: Those only are believers who, when God is mentioned, their hearts quake, and when His signs are recited to them, it increases them in faith, and in their Lord they put their trust,
