وَلَقَدِ ٱسْتُهْزِئَ بِرُسُلٍ مِّن قَبْلِكَ فَحَاقَ بِٱلَّذِينَ سَخِرُوا۟ مِنْهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ ﴿سورة الأنعام آية ١٠﴾.

[6:10] Basmeih

Dan demi sesungguhnya! Telah diperolok-olok beberapa Rasul sebelummu, lalu orang-orang yang mengejek-ejek di antara mereka ditimpakan (balasan azab) bagi apa yang mereka telah perolok-olokkan itu.

[6:10] Tafsir Jalalayn

(Dan sungguh telah diperolok-olokkan beberapa rasul sebelum kamu) ungkapan ini mengandung makna yang menghibur hati Nabi saw. (maka datanglah) turunlah (kepada orang-orang yang mencemoohkan di antara mereka sebagai akibat dari apa yang mereka perolok-olokkan) yang berupa azab; demikian pula siksaan itu akan menimpa orang-orang yang memperolok-olokkan kamu.

[6:10] Quraish Shihab

Sungguh, orang-orang kafir telah banyak mengejek rasul-rasul sebelummu, wahai Nabi. Para pengejek itu kemudian ditimpa siksaan yang pernah diingatkan oleh para rasul yang pernah mereka ejek sebelumnya.

[6:10] Bahasa Indonesia

Dan sungguh telah diperolok-olokkan beberapa rasul sebelum kamu, maka turunlah kepada orang-orang yang mencemoohkan di antara mereka balasan (azab) olok-olokan mereka.

Sahih International: And already were messengers ridiculed before you, but those who mocked them were enveloped by that which they used to ridicule.

Pickthall: Messengers (of Allah) have been derided before thee, but that whereat they scoffed surrounded such of them as did deride.

Yusuf Ali: Mocked were (many) messengers before thee; but their scoffers were hemmed in by the thing that they mocked.

Shakir: And certainly messengers before you were mocked at, but that which they mocked at encompassed the scoffers among them.

Muhammad Sarwar: They mocked the Messengers who lived before you (Muhammad), but those who received warnings of punishment and mocked the warnings, all suffered their torments accordingly.

Mohsin Khan: And indeed (many) Messengers were mocked before you, but their scoffers were surrounded by the very thing that they used to mock at.

Arberry: Messengers indeed were mocked at before thee; but those that scoffed at them were encompassed by that they mocked at.
